The Australian pace battery was too good for India on the decisive fourth day's play at the MCG as the Test Match finished with the visitors conceding defeat by 122 runs.

The Aussies eased to a 122-run win as the Indian batting failed to deliver the goods chasing a target of 292 on a sporting drop-in pitch at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The second day’s play at MCG saw the Indian bowlers without much fuss cleaning up the Aussie lower order. Zaheer Khan added two more wickets and Ashwin too did the same as the Aussies folded to 333 in their first innings.
